Amber River, one of the largest and fastest-growing independent wealth management advice firms in the United Kingdom, today announces that it has chosen to partner with Stone Point Capital LLC (“Stone Point”) to support its next phase of growth. Stone Point is a financial services-focused investment firm with over $70 billion of assets under management and deep experience investing in the wealth management sector. The transaction is expected to close in the summer of 2026.

Amber River is the first in a new generation of financial planning businesses with regional face-to-face advice at its core and is entrusted with £13.6bn of AUMA. It brings together over 330 of the UK’s finest independent financial planners, advisers, technical experts and investment professionals who deliver their advice through its 13 welcoming regional wealth centres across the UK and two dedicated Centres of Excellence for mortgage advice and investment management, all backed by national scale and expertise.

Founding private equity investor Penta Capital’s deep financial services expertise and willingness to invest in the group’s capabilities, team and infrastructure have been fundamental in supporting the Amber River journey to deliver strong sustainable growth, and they are remaining onboard as a key investor.

Building on the stable foundations that have been put in place, Amber River’s new partnership with Stone Point brings expertise, capital and strategic support for its next chapter. It also allows Amber River to bring its unique service proposition, “Life Landscaping”, to a wider audience to help more individuals and families across the UK achieve their long-term financial goals.

The financial terms of the transaction are not being disclosed. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
