Employee wellbeing advisers

Employee wellbeing is increasingly important, because of the impact the working environment can have on an employee.

And it’s not just the physical office, or the number of days holiday you offer, employers should also consider flexible working (location as well as hours) and how their employee benefits package supports wellbeing. Younger candidates want to discuss more than just salary and pension contributions when they arrive for an interview.

There are obvious benefits to employee wellbeing. When you’re happy at work and you feel cared for, you work harder, you’re less likely to be off sick and you’re more likely to stay.

Employee wellbeing comes in a whole range of shapes and sizes. It includes physical activities such as gym membership, Yoga sessions at break times, or nicely maintained outside space, as well as mental wellbeing, such as counselling services and workshops. It’s about managing stress, offering a positive work environment and improving the work / life balance.
