From the Santa in the City run, to raising money for good causes, here's a snapshot of some of the fundraising and volunteering our colleagues have been doing. Helping to make Christmas a nicer time of year for those who need a break.
The team at Amber River East Anglia raised money to buy gifts for Christmas shoeboxes, for local children who normally have a tough time over Christmas. The gifts were donated to Emmaus, which supports low-income families in the Colchester area.
Amber River True Bearing raised money for Save the Children and St Catherine’s Hospice, with a fine display of Christmas jumpers, a quiz and a raffle. Two of the team also volunteered at Clayton Brook Community Church on 9 December, to cook and serve Christmas dinner, and offer a warm space for members of the community.
Colleagues at Amber River Midlands held a Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Edwards Trust, which supports bereaved parents and children in the West Midlands. They also volunteered at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital‘s Christmas Grotto on 17 December, welcoming children into the grotto to meet Santa and get a little gift.
The Charles Cameron & Associates team had a Christmas Bake Off and Jumper Day, raising over £100 for Save the Children.
Meanwhile, 13 members of the Amber River central team joined 1,400 other ‘Santas’ in London for Santa in the City on 4 December. They raised £260 for Refuge – the UK’s largest specialist domestic abuse organisation.
We wish all of our clients, colleagues, communities and friends a wonderful festive season and a Happy New Year!
