Profit extraction

Profit extraction is the process of taking profit out of a business, typically in the form of salaries, dividends and pension contributions. There are other methods too and it's likely you'll have a mix of options. You could also leave the profit in the business, to realise it when you come to sell.

There will be tax and National Insurance implications though, so it’s important to understand the right mix for your business and how that impacts your tax planning, by speaking to an independent financial adviser.
