Strengthening and growing our team
In the last quarter Amber River HDA has seen some new faces and new roles created to support the continued growth of the business across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire.

A new role to Amber River HDA, I have been brought in to support the business with marketing to help drive new relationships and to nurture those we already have, by making sure everyone is aware of the great things happening within the business.
With over 20 years of marketing experience and a degree in European business, I have worked across many different sectors and sizes of business, from FTSE 100 to smaller owner operated companies. I have a passion for understanding people and what’s important to them.
When time allows, and I’m not in the garden, I love to get creative and paint.
Another new position created to support and grow our expanding investment proposition, I offer analysis and insight into economic backgrounds, and provide research to new, and existing investment holdings. I can also help tailor bespoke investment portfolios for clients who have specific needs.
With experience in wealth management, from investment operations to analysis, I have worked in both public and private sectors and now bring that knowledge to help our clients at Amber River HDA.
I’m a keen traveller; I often travel solo, most recently to South America. I am also involved in managing and coaching my local Flag American Football team in Leicester.


Becky Cross, Adviser Support
Working in advisor support allows me to liaise with clients for queries and updates on their requests, assisting with general administrative tasks including calling providers, sending off reports and issuing forms for completion.
I’ve worked in customer facing roles my whole career, so I enjoy speaking to people, and having that level of contact with our clients to personalise their service.
With 11 years’ experience in horticulture, I’m a plant nerd, so if anyone has garden queries, let me know!
Joe Balderstone, Adviser Support
My role is to support the advisors and paraplanners to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner, to bring positive results for both the company and the client.
I have 13 years’ experience in customer facing roles within financial services, previously working for Capita and Zurich. I found that my skills in customer communication and time management have come in very useful so far.
Fun fact – I’ve visited 30 different countries.
