The day began by reflecting on what has been another remarkable year for the Amber River Foundation. Together, we’ve:
• Raised over £1 million since 2022
• Volunteered nearly 2,000 hours
• Supported almost 60 charities
Behind these numbers are stories of real impact – supporting children and families, strengthening communities, and contributing to causes that matter deeply to our people. Many of the partnerships across our Group are personal, often shaped by colleagues’ own experiences. This makes the work even more meaningful.
Bringing our national partnership to life
A key highlight of the day was time spent with The Rivers Trust, our national charity partner.
After learning more about the impact of our partnership, we took part in a hands-on citizen science activity at the Henley slipway. Collecting water samples and assessing river conditions, we contributed directly to the National River Survey – helping to build a clearer picture of river health across the UK.
It was a powerful reminder that our efforts go far beyond fundraising. By working together, we are contributing to long-term environmental change and supporting evidence-based decision-making on a national scale.
We also took time to step back and think differently. A creative workshop with Work Better encouraged us to explore new ways to inspire colleagues and clients – from fresh fundraising ideas to more engaging communications and events.
Moving forward together
The day was a powerful reminder of what makes the Amber River Foundation so special: the passion, commitment and generosity of our colleagues and clients.
As we look ahead, the purpose of the Foundation remains the same: to bring our purpose to life, enriching lives through local and national charitable initiatives which create a lasting positive impact on people and planet.
