Martin Johnston is a Director and Financial Planner at Amber River HDA, based in Cheltenham. A senior member of the team, Martin is known for his calm, reassuring approach and for using his extensive knowledge to help clients plan confidently for their future. He supports clients, across Gloucestershire & Worcestershire with investments and specialises in retirement planning and workplace benefits, including pensions and protection.

Before joining the company in 2006, Martin worked with financial providers. He became an independent financial planner in 2013 and was appointed Director in 2021.

Having grown up overseas in Bahrain and Nigeria, Martin returned to the UK to attend school in Suffolk. Outside work, he is a keen sports fan, particularly rugby and cricket, and also enjoys adding to his expanding guitar collection.
