Windfall

A windfall is typically a sum of money received (normally unexpectedly) that could change someone’s life.

A windfall might come from a number of sources: redundancy, a competition or lottery win, a bonus from work, or gifted by a family member. Depending on the amount, you might spend it on travel or material things, you could invest it, or you could do both.

A sizeable windfall might bring some additional challenges and responsibilities. Are there family members who need a helping hand financially? Are you now potentially leaving an inheritance tax bill to your loved ones?

If you’re in the fortunate position of receiving a windfall, consider taking financial advice before you do anything with it. If you invest it wisely it could change not only your life, but the lives of others.

It’s all part of a process that we call Life Landscaping®.
