The good people of Amber River True Bearing raised almost £16,000 for their charity partners 2025.
Most of the money raised has gone to St Catherine’s Hospice, a local charity very close to the hearts of colleagues, and recognised for its ongoing quality care for patients and family support across Chorley, Preston and South Ribble. Among the various fundraising activities, the team volunteered their time to help clear the hospice grounds and they took part in the hospice’s annual Moonlight & Memories Walk.
They were also delighted to award a £10,000 donation to the hospice, made possible by the Amber River Foundation.

Throughout the year, the team also raised money for a range of local and national charities. These included Macmillan Cancer Care, Save the Children, The Foxton Centre, and Living Waters, the local food bank. Their fundraising efforts culminated in a Christmas Jumper Day, seasonal quiz, and a gift collection for young families who struggle to afford that time of year.
We asked Marketing Manager, Jayne Raven, who chairs Amber River True Bearing’s charity committee, to sum up 2025: “It’s been a fantastic year, and the amount we’ve raised for St Catherine’s will make a huge difference to those who use the services of the hospice. We’re proud to have supported them, along with other local and national charities, through our fundraising and volunteering initiatives, and are excited to continue our support through 2026 ”.
