Every Easter we hold a Jacobs Join, raffle and quiz. For those of you who haven’t heard of a Jacob’s Join, it is a meal where everyone brings a dish and shares it with each other. This annual tradition was again enjoyed by all the team, with a huge spread including pizzas, sausage rolls and lots of cake!
It is also a tradition that our Competency and Training Manager, Paula Lawson makes one of her fantastic character cakes for the raffle. Paula is an accomplished cake maker, and her creations look literally good enough to eat.
The quiz, as always was a good laugh, with some tricky questions as well as the obligatory humorous picture round. There were some fantastic prizes on offer for the raffle, including gin, chocolates, and children’s toys.
Through the raffle and quiz, this event raised £278 for St Catherine’s. Our Business Improvement Director, Lisa Govier won the cake raffle, taking home the Easter Chick cake made by Paula, which she enjoyed sharing with her family during their Easter get together.
