Paul’s career path is an unusual one. After graduating from the University of Leeds, he began his career in financial services before signing as a professional footballer for Accrington Stanley. During his playing career, he completed his studies to achieve Chartered status in 2010. After retiring from football, he went on to establish his own successful IFA practice in the Ribble Valley before joining Amber River True Bearing. Now, with many years of experience as a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, he continues to passionately believe in the value of independent advice.

Paul loves working with clients to ensure they have strong financial plans which reflect their values and long-term goals. He specialises in retirement planning using the latest cashflow technology as an integral part of his advice process. This enables clients to visualise their financial goals and brings clarity to the bigger financial picture.

In his spare time, Paul enjoys running and going for long walks. He also likes attending live music events and adding to his vinyl collection. He loves holidaying in France and spending time with his wife, three grown-up children and granddaughter.
